UPDATE: Not a Banksy - It's a Mantis

Back in May, I posted a link to a lil diddy on the Wooster Collective blog about a work of street art in South London that "has Banksy written all over it." I've noticed that my post is still getting a good number of hits and just wanted to confirm (as the updated Wooster post does) that the work entitled "All Fall Down" is by Mantis. A version of this work is on view as part of the Leonard Street Gallery's Found group show. Indeed, the work is featured on the flyer and promo material for the show.

Strolling along Whitecross Street a few weeks ago, we happened upon a little lime green van with a chalkboard menu listing fajitas, burritos, and quesadillas for sale. Unfortunately, Simon, the bloke inside the van, was done slinging burritos for the day and wouldn’t be back for another week at which time we eagerly returned for a delish and filling chorizo burrito with hot sauce for only £5.

National Express ad campaign stinks!

Associating coach travel with smell is probably not the best idea for a National Express ad campaign. I mean, this ad reeks of sabotage or Photoshop manipulation, but apparently it's no joke.

We suppose it was inevitable that, eventually, Londonist would happen upon a substandard lunch in this sprawling metropolis. Still, it’s a pity because we really wanted to give Hackney’s Exceline, an “eat as much as you can” East African buffet, a rousing review. Upon entering, this restaurant seemed to have a lot going for it: value for money pricing (all you can eat for five quid), a modest yet clean dining area with a homey, refreshingly non-corporate, atmosphere, and an incredibly sweet and super friendly cashier. However, soon after our visit we realized it was our gastro-civic duty to post our tale of a less than optimal meal.
